Greenway Park Tennis Club

Updated January 2022

The Stapleton Tennis Club has been renamed the Greenway Park Tennis Club. Our courts are labelled according to the city and this name aligns with how they will be permitted and how the USTA and CTA refer to them.

Dues

To reduce costs and simplify administration we are moving away from individual memberships and charging dues per person. Instead, we will bill the USTA League team captains a flat fee per team and the captains will be responsible for collecting from their teams. The rates for 2021 will be $104 per regular season team (8 starters), $65 per twilight team (5 starters), and $78 per mixed team (6 starters). The rates are proportional to the number of starters on each team.

The team dues primarily cover the cost of insurance for the courts (which is required by Denver Parks and Rec to pull permits), our USTA membership, and the website. While Denver Parks and Recreation is responsible for maintenance of the courts, we have been able to finance some small improvements with the dues, including wind screens, rollers, and brooms.

Players should subscribe at the bottom of page in order to receive email updates from the GPTC.

Team Numbers

Renee Morris is our new facility coordinator. Captains, please contact her at Renee@GreenwayParkTennis.org going forward when you need a new USTA team number.  While the GPTC will try its best to accommodate all team requests, league participation is restricted by our limited number of courts.

Permits

GPTC will continue to handle pulling the court permits (except where other arrangements have been made). We will send captains a bill. Denver currently charges $7.50 per court per hour. Permit costs are in addition to dues.
